December

For Audrey's 9th birthday, she got to take Ian and her friend Addison to the Mirror Maze. Afterward we walked around Cannery Row. So much fun. I like older kids.
The Cannery Row pirate. Apparently the girls are swooning.
Audrey had her first piano recital! She played Away in a Manger, Jingle Bells and Up on the Housetop.
I volunteered at Audrey's school holiday party. A parent took this picture and emailed it to me. I love it.
We live on Candy Cane Lane, which gets all decked out for Christmas. This is at the neighborhood park.

A neighbor's house. The nutcracker is a bit freaky!
Christmas dinner with the Egers and Meri's  parents, Craig and Jean.
Our first family puzzle. It was so fun working on this for a couple weeks. Addicting.
A few days after Christmas Janice and her family came to visit for the day. We went to the Aquarium, the beach and hung out. It was lovely.
Mr. B is in an orchestra in the community and played at some events. He is loving it.
Decorating graham cracker houses.

Santa came to Candy Cane Lane on a Harley!
Over winter break we toured Mr. B's campus and went out to eat at Monterey Fish House. Fun day!

November

Declan always in the mix!
Audrey painting ornaments, a craft she got from her friend Claire as an early birthday present.
Checking out the butterflies at the Monarch Sanctuary.
Fell asleep reading to each other one night.
Ian bought himself a new stuffy at the Aquarium. Love.
Pies and Poems in Ian's first grade class.
Tea and scones, with scone mix and hot cocoa from Grandma, teacups from Grandma Gayle.
The cheesecake I made for Thanksgiving dessert (also made pumpkin pie and chocolate pie). Yum! Paul came again, and we ate at Robert and Meri's. It was a lovely weekend. We went to the Aquarium and saw The Good Dinosaur. Paul and I went to San Francisco for a bit on Saturday before I took him to the airport. A fun weekend.

Grandma and Halloween

My mom came to visit for the week of Halloween. We had fun walking the beach trail, going out to lunch, shopping at the fabric store, going to Trader Joes, going to the Aquarium, watching the kids march in their Halloween parade, and passing out candy to over 600 kids on Halloween night. So fun and I can't wait to see her again.
