Grandma and Halloween

My mom came to visit for the week of Halloween. We had fun walking the beach trail, going out to lunch, shopping at the fabric store, going to Trader Joes, going to the Aquarium, watching the kids march in their Halloween parade, and passing out candy to over 600 kids on Halloween night. So fun and I can't wait to see her again.

People here are awesome and BRING IT when invited to a costume party. Woohoo!

Swank Farm

One Saturday in October we headed up to Hollister to enjoy Swank farms. We had a blast! Declan got hurt on the school bus door, but the employees got him an ice pack and a smoothie, so all was well. We stopped at Burger Factory on the way home: YUM.

October in Pacific Grove

The first weekend of October is the Butterfly Parade, where PG elementary kids walk in a parade dressed up, as a welcome to the monarchs who begin to arrive for the winter.  We loved it!

We had a week off for fall break and had some fun around town. We went to the Aquarium, Dennis the Menace Park (pictured here), the Farmer's market, costume shopping, and out for frozen yogurt.  

 We had some Halloween themed FHEs. We made oreo spiders (Audrey's idea) and we made roll out sugar cookies. The kids got to roll the dough, cut it out, then decorate. We also carved a pumpkin. October needs to be longer because we had too many ideas!
