We hosted another Halloween party and had a great time! We set up dancing on the back patio which I loved so much. Looking forward to next year!

Mr. B had a business trip to Seattle and got to see his sister and nephew. They are both so beautiful!

Amber comes to visit!

Amber came to Pacific Grove and we had a blast! We toured the Winchester Mystery House, went to the beach, took walks, ate pastries, hiked at Point Lobos, went to yummy restaurants, saw the Miss Peregrine movie, decorated my house for Halloween, played with my kids, and talked a lot--I miss this girl being in my daily life!

Butterfly parade

Our kids got to march in the annual Butterfly parade to welcome the monarchs to winter in Pacific Grove. This was Declan's first year--kindergartners get to be the monarchs! Audrey is a gold miner and Ian is an artist.

Tough Mudder

My sister Kelley made me sign up for a Tough Mudder, and I spent 10 months dreading it, regretting it, and doing my best to train for it. Then the day arrived, and I was excited to spend time with my siblings, but sure that this was just not my thing. Welp, I was wrong. It was exhilarating and addicting and one of the best things I've ever done! We all loved it so much that we signed up for next year, including Mr. B and Patrick--adding some spouses in the mix! Our team was Rood Awakening and was comprised of five of the six Rood siblings: Laura, Kelley, Bonnie, Paul and Ben. Ben is an athlete and could have run circles around us, but he was the kindest, most supportive person on our team--a hero! I am hoping to train even harder this year.
