May part one

Our last two weeks in Surprise. We had some fun, spent a lot of time stressed, worked on getting ready, found a house in Pacific Grove, withdrew the kids from school and said goodbye. Here are the pictures we took along the way.

Probably 1-2 times a month for the past several months Declan just passes out somewhere. Sleeping kids are cute. And quiet. It's a welcome break. 

April

April was our last full month living in Surprise. We were busy with moving details and didn't have much excitement going on, but we did celebrate Declan turning four!

Happy birthday Ian!

Happy birthday Ian! Ian turned six and we celebrated by going to the Phoenix children's museum, bringing his buddy Natalie to Red Robin for birthday dinner, and eating Minecraft themed cake. 

March happenings

Just after going to the book fair at school and I turned to check before reversing out the parking lot. Put the car back in park and took a quick photo.

Declan started tee-ball but he only participated in part of the season. He was not cooperative and it was too hard on me, so we'll wait until he's older to try again. But here's a fun picture from one game.

Before we moved away from Surprise, we wanted to do a family zoo trip at Wildlife World Zoo. We had a very fun time.

Also in March, Audrey participated in a "Pinkwood" Derby and had fun making her car with her dad. She was bummed that her car didn't win any of its races, but she had fun. 

February Fun

Declan is a goofball. And I love it.

Audrey and Ian started martial arts: Hwa Rang Do. They are having fun! But serious practitioners.

I took Declan on a preschool field trip to the zoo.

We had a fun day with our friends, the Meads and the Glowickis. 

January Fun

I came to check on Audrey one night and found this creation, which truly delighted me. 

Ian lost his first tooth! It seemed to take forever--two adult teeth had erupted behind this one, so it was a relief when he lost this one and the next, not too long after. Ian's tooth came out in the car on the way to dinner with friends, so we turned around to take the tooth home--didn't want to lose it! 

One night the kids and I played at the park on a dark, windy night--so fun!
