My dad turned 70, so my siblings and I met up and surprised him. I flew up from CA and Paul and his boyfriend Ryun flew out from UT. The WA kids gathered and we all showed up on his doorstep. He had NO idea, and was so surprised and grateful to have us all together. I'm so grateful to be part of such a loving family.
We also did a sibling portrait while we were there, and it turned out great--such a treasure!
After the birthday celebrations, I drove an hour away to meet up with my college roommates for a reunion in the Gig Harbor, WA area. It was beautiful, we had so much fun, and I love these girls so much. We Marco Polo each other every week, sometimes every day, and they are a huge support and wonderful friends. We stayed at a wonderful vacation rental on the Sound, with kayaks! and we toured southwest Seattle and Gig Harbor.
Michelle!!! I need to see this girl way more than I do.
At the end of the trip, I stayed a couple more days to celebrate Mother's Day with my wonderful mom, and then I flew home to my wonderful husband and kids, who survived just fine without. It was all pure bliss.
I really enjoyed Dad's 70th!
